Sporting Clays (NSCA Affiliate) The closest to actual field shooting of all the shotgun sports. A variety of sizes of clay targets combined with different velocities and action in the air make sporting clays a fun activity. Shooters of all experience and ability levels are invited and it can be as competitive as they choose. No special shotgun is necessary. Sporting Clay matches are open to the public. If you have questions please contact Vacant via email. Sporting Clay Shooting is designed to provide targets that simulate what the shooter may encounter bird hunting. Each shooting station presents a different pattern of targets. Three times a year Douglas Ridge Rifle Club hosts a National Sporting Clay Association (NSCA) Registered Shoot which brings in some of the best shooters from Oregon and Washington. These shoots are open to all NSCA members and non members alike. Every shooter will compete for cash prizes and door prizes will also be awarded.
