The Civilian Marksmanship Program is a government-backed shooting discipline using military service rifles (primarily the M-1 Garand). Frequent practices, clinics, and competitions.
Several CMP classes and competitions are scheduled through out the year. M1 Garand rifles (30-06 caliber) are available for use during the class as well as AR-15 rifles (.223 caliber) for junior participants. Club Garands and ammo are available to new shooters wishing to learn and participate in a CMP match.Fees: (Ammo prices are current as of January 2011 and are subject to change depending on cost of replacement ammo.) Class and Match Fee - $10.00. Pre registration required for class. Match Fee - $10.00 (First time participants must take appropriate class first). Ammo (30-06) - $30.00 for 500 agg (52+ rounds). NOTE: Available ammo is intended for use by new/beginner participants and will only be sold for use in DRRC CMP matches. Classes are geared towards the type of match being held the following day. Classes held prior to cross course matches will be good for any subsequent match. Classes held prior to 100 yard matches are only good for subsequent 100 yard matches. You must take a cross course class before shooting in your first cross course match.

Classes are held in the club house from 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM . Matches are from 8:00 AM until finished (1pm-2pmish for 100 yard matches, 4PMish for cross course matches). 8:00 AM registration at the clubhouse followed by setup at the range. Shooting starts at 9:00 AM. |
